Prof. Dr. HALİM CEYLAN
Prof. Dr. Halim Ceylan graduated from Dokuz Eylul University, Engineering Faculty, Civil Engineering Department in 1990. He started Pamukkale University, Engineering Faculty, Civil Engineering Department, Division of Transport as a research assistant. He also completed his master’s degree in Newcastle University, Civil Engineering Department, Division of Transport Operation Group, England in 1996, and started his Ph.D. Degree at the same university and completed in 2002. He is still working at Pamukkale University as a professor, giving a lecture on transportation engineering, public transport planning, soil work, railway engineering, intelligent transportation systems, pavement materials. He has published more than 100 national and international papers and a book chapter in nearly 30 international indexed journals. He completed TÜBITAK and BAP projects. Mr. Ceylan is at the forefront of national and international scientific fields. Prof. Ceylan has been involved in many national and international traffic control, public transportation rehabilitation, traffic circulation, feasibility studies, smart transportation applications, adaptive traffic control projects, Sustainable Urban Logistics Plans (SULP) and transportation master plan studies. Prof. Ceylan has been in the consultancy of Turkey National Transportation Master Plan and the consultancy of TCDD Survey and Project Department is continuing. He is fluent in English language. Prof. Ceylan is married and has two children.
