After completing his high school education at TED Ankara College, Burak Işık graduated from Middle East Technical University Petroleum Engineering and received his MBA from Koç University. He started his career at Petrol Ofisi and continued his career at OPET and SOCAR Turkey, respectively. Specializing in investment and development in the energy sector, he took part in the preparation of OPET's first sustainability report, and during his duty at SOCAR, he carried out the processes of establishing the CNG - compressed natural gas station network, which is an environmentally friendly fuel used for the first time in heavy vehicles in Turkey.

Burak Işık, who joined ICA in 2015 as Investment Development Manager, led the publication of two sustainability reports in 2017 and 2020, which were the first in the private highway management sector. He has been working as IC Holding Corporate Governance and Sustainability Director since 2021 and represents IC Holding in important NGOs such as TUSIAD (Turkish Industry & Business Association), SKD (Sustainable Development Association), TMB (Turkish Contractors Association) and ASECAP (European Private Highway Operators Association).
